At the last count there seem to be about 51 (!) different combinations of Zitahli wallets, different colors, some with clips, some with ID windows, some with AirTag holders … we’ll sort through all this to give you our unvarnished opinion on this popular wallet brand!
Zitahli Wallets – Sort of Minimalist, Sort of Not?
Zitahli seem to be aiming for an in-between market. So maybe you’re looking for a much slimmer wallet than you’ve been using in the past, but you’re not ready to go full-on minimalist wallet yet. The solution? A slim profile bifold that uses some clever design tricks to cram a lot more than you’d expect. The larger capacity Zitahli wallets have slots for 14 cards but they don’t look it.
Styles
Zhitali make two main styles of bifold, and a money clip card holder. Let’s look at each in turn.
Slim Bifold With Money Clip
Dimensions: 4.88 x 3.7 x 0.75 inches
Capacity: Up to 12 cards
The first kind of wallet achieves some space saving by the use of a money clip incorporated into the design in place of pockets to place bills in. The layout of the pockets is quite clever. There is an outside pocket for the most-used card or cards, an additional pocket behind the ID holder, and then a few standard card slots laid out inside the standard bifold shape.
We like the thumb-access hole cut into the outside pocket so you can easily slide out your most-used cards. The same thought has gone into the ID window, which also has an easy-access thumb slide for when you have to remove the card to show it (for some reason, every government official who checks my ID seems to want it out of the wallet).
Shown above is Crazy Horse Brown, but there are at least nine other colors/color combinations to choose from.
Slim Bifold With Money Clip and AirTag Holder
Dimensions: 4.88 x 3.74 x 0.71 inches
Capacity: Up to 12 cards
This is a slight variation on the money clip wallet. The wide money clip of the original is replaced with a hinged clip that may be a little less strong, but saves more space, and the wallet features a blister-style holder on the outside sized for one of Apple’s AirTags (not included). We think we’ll see more and more of this sort of AirTag-specific wallet design in the future.
The AirTag is a great way to track your belongings, but it isn’t the only way to track a wallet, and may not even be the best solution. Check out our article on the best wallet trackers for more.
This wallet is also available in a range of colors and combinations, though not quite as many as the original money clip wallet.
Slim Bifold With Bill Compartment
Dimensions: 4.88 x 3.7 x 0.83 inches
Capacity: Up to 12 cards
These wallets drop the money clip in favor of a more traditional pocket for bills that are stored lengthways. This sacrifices a little of the slim factor, but the layout of the pockets helps to spread the layers around.
In addition to the outside pocket and additional pocket behind the ID holder (with the same thumb-slide easy-access as the money clip wallets above) there is also a hidden pocket inside the bill holder.
This wallet is also available in a range of colors and color combinations – about ten at the time of writing, though this does change.
Magnetic Money Clip
Dimensions: 4.3 x 3.1 x 0.4 inches
Capacity: Up to 10 cards plus a few bills
Available in eight colors and combinations, this is a recent addition to the Zitahli line. This variation on the money clip wallet uses a strong magnetic enclosure to hold the clip tight against the outside of what is basically a card holder with an ID window.
The magnet is strong enough to hold 15-25 bills, folded once. The card slot layout is a little different from the others, but still very efficient as we’ve come to expect. There are seven external card slots in various locations for easy access, then an interior pocket for the less-used cards (think insurance cards, etc).

Zitahli Wallet Buying Guide
We’ll cut to the chase. These wallets are nicely-designed and the materials they are made from are perfectly adequate for the price. Ok, that’s damning with faint praise, but it seems fair to us.
Materials
The quality of the materials is not terrible, in fact its perfectly fine, but aged, supple, high-grade leather this is not. Advertised as ‘Finest Vegan Leather” this is, straightforwardly enough, a form of PU Leather. (They also have another variation called “Carbon Leather” which has carbon fiber threads woven through the material.)
This will not age as well as real, high-grade leather, but at this price point you wouldn’t expect it to.
Part of the problem that seems to cause some negative reviews is that Zitahli don’t seem to be going out of their way to make the material clear. Some of the Amazon standard descriptions say “Leather” for instance, despite the main text clearly saying “Vegan Leather”.
NOTE: Previously Zitahli Wallets were only available on Amazon. Now, they seem to be in the process of opening a Shopify-powered store of their own. At the time of writing this seemed very much a work in progress, but it may have improved by the time you’re reading this so do check it out here.
RFID
Worth pointing out – all the wallets above advertise strong RFID protection. Zitahli make quite a big deal about this, referring to their “German institute certified” protection.
Summary
The designs are good, with a clever card slot layout that makes these surprisingly slim. We’ve seen plenty of perfectly fine faux leather products, and so long as you know what you’re getting into, these Zitahli Wallets might be exactly what you’re looking for.
